About
March 24, 2009My passion for photography began in 2004 when my dad purchased me my first digital camera just before my deployment to Iraq. It was an Olympus point-and-shoot, which ended up breaking weeks after receiving it. My dad wanted to make sure I could capture my experiences and send them home, so he purchased me a Fujifilm S5000. At first, I took pictures because….well why not? I had a camera, right? I might as well use it. Before I knew it, I was hooked. I found myself spending countless hours reading books and posting my pictures to photography critiquing sites during my downtime.
Upon returning from Iraq, I purchased my first “pro” camera, a Nikon D80 DSLR. I soon found out that my passion was for portraits and weddings….any type of pictures that allowed me to express my creativity. I never could have imagined that I would be blessed to have the success I’ve had, in such a short period of time. I’m so thankful that God has blessed me with the ability to do something that I enjoy so much.
